Description
Goat polyclonal antibody to mouse IgG. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a monomeric antibody composed of two heavy chains and two light chains and is the most abundant immunoglobulin in blood and extracellular fluids. IgG plays an important role in immune defence by binding antigens from pathogens and contributing to complement activation, opsonization, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and neutralization of toxins and infectious agents. This antibody is raised in goat against mouse IgG and, when conjugated, is suitable for use as a secondary antibody for the detection of rat primary antibodies in applications such as WB, ELISA, IF and IHC. Goat anti-mouse IgG antibodies are commonly used in immunoassays and imaging techniques where mouse monoclonal or polyclonal primary antibodies are employed.
