Goat polyclonal antibody to human IgG. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a monomeric antibody composed of two heavy chains and two light chains and is the most abundant immunoglobulin in blood and extracellular fluids. IgG plays an important role in immune defence by binding antigens from pathogens and contributing to complement activation, opsonization, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and neutralization of toxins and infectious agents. This antibody is raised in goat against human IgG and, when conjugated, is suitable for the detection of human IgG in applications such as WB, ELISA, IF and IHC. Goat anti-human IgG antibodies are commonly used in immunoassays for the detection, quantification or localization of human immunoglobulins in biological samples.
